Early Childhood Syllabus Working Version Section One
A K-10 Syllabus forum was held recently at Edith Cowan University, Perth WA. This forum was open to anyone interested in discussing the DET Syllabus Early Childhood phase. If you were unable to attend this forum and wish to express your views on the Syllabus documents you can respond through the Curriculum Council website and the Department of Education and Training website.

EYES recognises and rewards excellence in Early Childhood teacher training.
The 2006 recipient of the " Early Years in Education Society Prize" is student teacher Mrs Lisa K Turton. The prize is awarded to the student who clearly demonstrates excellence in the area of early childhood studies. In her letter to EYES she has written"This prize has meant a lot to me, it was wonderful to be recognised for all the hard work and dedication that I put into my teaching.I love my job as an early childhood teacher and look forward to going to many EYES events.Thank you for being awarded the prize it is a huge honour and I am extremely grateful."
